Itna Na Mujh Se Tu Lyrics

Verse 1

Don’t let your love for me grow any stronger, because I am a nomadic cloud.

How can I possibly be the pillar of support for someone? When I, myself, am homeless and helpless.

WORD - Awara - Nomad, Sahara - Help.

The protagonist wonders, how can he possibly help someone when he himself is looking for help? He is scared that he may not be able to live up to the expectations of the woman who loves him.

Verse 2

You’re a wandering cloud, which is precisely why I love you. I’ve been with you for eternity. I am like the stream of water that keeps on flowing.

She makes it clear that they're one and the same. If he is a wandering cloud, she too is like the stream of a river who keeps on flowing come what may.

WORD - Dhara - Stream, Janam - Life.

FACT - This song is based on Symphony No. 40 - the composition created by the legendary Austrian music composer, Mozart.

What began on 25 July 1788, the melody was eventually completed a couple of weeks later by Mozart. Interestingly, Mozart himself never heard the melody, he only created it out of self interest.

Verse 3

I don’t find comfort in a single place and am always on the move. Stopping in one place and settling is not my job.

How long will you accompany me for? I am a gypsy of this world.  He doesn’t want to cause any trouble to her.

And isn't sure if he is capable of keeping her happy, worrying that his unpredictable life will disrupt her stable way of living.

WORD- Aaram: Comfort, Videsh: Foreign land.
