Verse 2

In those shy, lowered gazes, there lingered a thought of me somewhere. In that suppressed smile, there existed a beautiful spring of colors.

I used to think that she was humming my name. I wonder why I felt that she was smiling. That evening was strange.

WORD- Gunguna- Humming, Nigaahon – Gaze, Gulaal – Colored powder.

FACT - The title of this song was inspired by the composer, Hemant Kumar's difficulty in composing a melody for this track.

"Dada had been sitting in this position for a long time, stylishly taking pinches of snuff and wiping his hand on the end of his dhoti with great flourish. But he was unable to produce any tune," said Gulzar. (Courtesy Scroll)

I believe, she must be thinking about me with her lowered gaze. She might be laughing to her fullest but there still exists a hidden desire.

I know that she must be humming my name. I just have this thought that she still walks alongside me.

He seems certain that like him, she too hasn’t moved on from their relationship. On the surface they may seem content but deep down, they still believe their relationship was left incomplete.

WORD- Chaah- Desire
