Tere Liye Lyrics

Verse 1

It is for you that I’ve lived, with my lips sealed. It is for you that I’ve lived, with all these tears. In my heart, however, the flame of love kept burning, for you.

Veer and Zara have met after several years. And in their own ways, they’re describing to each other how this separation has been. All these years, they’ve both lived in pain and silence, just for the sake of each other.

WORD - Hothon: lips, Chaahat: Love, Siye - Sealed.

Verse 2

Life has brought to us the book of the past. Countless memories are now surrounding us from all ends.

Without asking, I’ve received so many answers. What we had wished for, what have we got? Look at it.

They’re both reminded of the days gone by. Looking at the years gone by and wondering how it would have been if things were different.

WORD -Beete din: Days gone by, Behisab: Limitless

Verse 3

How should I describe to you, the malice this world inflicted upon me? They had ordered me to live, but, without you.

They are ignorant souls who say you’re a stranger to me. So much injustice was thrust upon us.

Despite of all the pain that they’ve endured, they’ve both continued to love each other.

The world never understood their feelings, yet they didn’t let those feelings die. They knew they were made for each other, and their belief only got stronger each day.

WORD- Bair: Malice, Baghair: Without, Naadaan: Ignorant, Ghair: Stranger, Sitam: Injustice.
