Ha raham Lyrics
Verse 1

This life, passing by, seems like a bubble about to burst

It fights with the wind, tries to hold on sometimes but also fails

Have mercy O lord

Let every step I take be safe my Lord

WORD - Mehfuz – Safeguard/protect

FACT-Here, life is being compared to a water bubble. These bubbles are all around us. In cappuccinos and in beers. A water bubble once floating in air does not really have a lot of time before it bursts. It tries its best by fighting the wind to stay afloat, sometimes it succeeds and sometimes not. Life too is not always easy; you have to fight to survive and succeed. After all something that is worthwhile will never come easy to you

Verse 2

This thread made out of cotton breaths are strange and (it will burn)

The hands that were tight fisted (will open)

No matter how bright the flames are, this sun will set eventually

Have mercy O lord

Let every step I take be safe

WORD-Suti – cotton, Anuthi – strange/peculiar

TRIVIA- The first line references cotton. At first this sentence seems strange. But cotton is considered as a fabric that breathes thus allowing your body ample breathing space. The lyricist talks about how eventually through the hardships, you will breathe easy.

Verse 3

Within gold and its shine or the sound of coins, you wont find Him

But if you look for Him in the particles of the dust, He will be there

No one has a chance against your will

We are just puppets in your hands, one move and we change our way

Have mercy O lord

Let every step I take be safe my Lord

WORD -Jharro – particles

FACT- As the great monk, Swami Vivekananda said that before believing in GOD, we must believe in ourselves. We are all GODS in one way or another. Hence we must act like one. Ultimate happiness cant be found with the help of money. Instead the secret to the pursuit of happiness is in finding joy even in the smallest of things and events that take place in everyday life. Our actions today will determine our tomorrow. In the end, puppets as we may be, we control the puppets and our lives.
