Jungle Raja Lyrics

Verse 1

I am the king in these streets, Come visit me someday my friend

All my buddies are whacked out, dont judge them by their looks

If I even sense a little bit of artificiality, dont even think about coming near me

If you manage to run away, then stones are aimed at you anyway

Context-Mumbai based rapper, DIVINE talks about how his streets resemble the jungle and that’s the reason he and his squad always has to be on the lookout for possible danger. In the wild jungles, there is nothing more important than having a team that you can rely on at all times. Just like in the wild where every centimeter of land has to be earned by the Lions, DIVINE works hard at his craft in order to cement his place at the top of the pyramid.

Verse 2

We are all young kings out here

Were like hunters on the prowl

You are now deep in all of this, and deep is where the ruins are

Everyone is an animal here, theres no question of being fearful

Tell me where has chaos erupted now? Its always heated out here

WORD - Khandar – Ruins, Ghondal – Chaos

FACT- Music always played an integral role in music producer, Nucelya’s upbringing. Because of his father, he grew up listening to Indian classics like Ghulam Ali and Jagjit Singh. Post which he was introduced to Michael Jackson and pop music by his brother. He began sampling these tunes on Fruity Loops and layered them with electronic beats and that’s how he initiated his foray into electronic music. He moved from Ahmadabad, his home town to Goa. For the initial three years, he had no work at all. But moving to Delhi changed his career. He says the number of people in the audience isn’t always important. It’s more about the appreciation and positive vibes

Verse 4

Gully Gang. The boys from the corner

The roar of a Lion. It’s a Nucleya explosion

I am the king of this jungle now

They’re all desperate from within. Yet they’re talks, womanlike

Problems are close like an uncle. Got a few enemies too

My gully is extraordinary. A whacked out guy on every corner

Someone’s getting played at every branch

My eyes close as the morning sun rises

You crew is envious

Why did you have to mess with my crew?

Yeah son, you’re real like a Bollywood movie

Visit my corner if you want a picture of a zoo

FACT- In this penultimate verse, Divine spits a massive 83 words in 20 seconds. That’s an average of 4.15 words per second. To put things into perspective, rap legend, Eminem on his track RAP GOD spits 97 words in 15 seconds, at an average of 6.5 words per second. Impressive stuff from Divine who is only getting started

Verse 5

My lines sharp like the Rampuri knife

Your lines about struggle? Where are the scars though?

I hustle for real. I get paid for spitting these bars too

The life of the Slums. The voice of the streets
