Bas Itna Hain Kehna Lyrics
On Bas Itna Hain Kehna, the protagonist makes a request of sorts to the woman he loves- in this journey of life, he hopes that she’s always within his sight despite the times when they might be far away from each other.
He wonders but hopes that they shall always be together. It’s the feeling that one expresses when they do not want that someone special in their lives to ever leave since they’re used to each others company.
Saans bharke faasle pe rehna kho na jaana
Bas itna hain kehna -3
Meri nazar mein rehna
The woman he loves might wish to go away and part ways, but he requests her to stay a little closer while she’s here so that her shadow makes up for her absence. Breathe and be at a distance but he hopes she doesn’t get lost on the way ahead.
Lyricist, Rashmi Virag uses the example of a shadow as a metaphor to explain the relationship that these two people share. The distances between them might eventually grow when she leaves but deep within he realizes that they will always share an intense and close bond, like a person and his/her shadow.
Agar khwab mein bhi saath chhuthe
Subah laut aana, Bas itna hain kehna -3
Meri nazar mein rehna
With the help of a dream, he requests her to keep holding hands so that they stay together in the good and bad times as well. While she’s sleeping, if she ever dreams that they might get separated, he tells her to make sure that she makes her way back to him in the morning.
Singer of Bas Itna Hain Kehna ,Sonu Nigam spoke to a German publication about the relationship between music and nature- “Music is a very very deep language which is close to the language of nature. Nature speaks in the fourth dimension and I think music is the only language that speaks in the fourth dimension”.
Pyaar tera mera uss paar mil jaayega
Uss jahaan mein meri panah me rehna -2
Bas itna hai kehna- 3 Meri nazar mein rehna
Their bodies will eventually burn and turn into ash but their love for each other will ensure that they once again meet on the other side of the world. Both of them gave their love, expecting nothing in return which makes them worthy of love that’s eternal that transcends all boundaries.
Bodies turning into ash is symbolic for life after death and how if one believes in eternal love, they shall still be together, with the one they love even after death.
